Ms Sytsma came to visit the Rivers Class with some supplies. She explained that we had everything we need to garden indoors: soil, light, water, and seeds.
First we watered the soil to get it ready for planting. Then each child received a handful of seeds. Some children looked closely at the different kinds of seeds. Others held their fists tightly closed so as not to lose any seeds.
These tiny seeds will grow into microgreens which we can harvest and eat!
We sprinkled the seeds on the soil and dusted a little soil on top. Then we used a spray bottle to spritz the top with water.
We wonder how much our seeds will have grown when we return to school. Will they be ready to harvest?
