This month middle school students take electives for two of their classes. These electives are filled with exciting possibilities such as basketball, puppet-making, and Lego engineering. One option offered is to spend time working with younger students in our school. These internships are highly coveted positions with students eagerly anticipating the year they can apply. This time is also anticipated by The Nest as we see the rewarding relationships that develop.
Josh is with our class for park time. He also helped the children with their snow boots and coats when we came back inside. Josh has many connections to the Rivers Class. His cousin is in the class, and Ms Buckley was his teacher in the Rivers Class many years ago!
Avery is with us for activity time. This week she played a memory game, helping the children take turns, an important habit for three- and four-year-olds to practice.
We look forward to spending these three weeks with our interns.
