Monday was a great day for a walk. Thank you to Ms. Waldron, Elizabeth's mom, who accompanied us as we went out to see what we could see in our community.
We saw many different kinds of buildings. We saw different people doing their work. We saw children and dogs (and even a "dog-washing store"). We saw signs and could even read some of them. At the end of the morning we had a list THREE pages long of things that we saw or experienced.
We had a great conversation with a Parking Enforcement worker who showed us how she checks to see if cars have paid for parking. It was exciting when a gentleman ran out to refill the meter just as she got to his car. Close call!
In the classroom, some children drew pictures of what they saw on the walk. Others used blocks to help remember the most important buildings.
