Growing

Our classroom is a hive of activity as we learn about insects and birds, plant and harvest seeds, and revisit clay and paint in these last weeks of school.
I was struck during park time about the growth we see outside the classroom, both physical and relational. 

Children who once preferred to play by themselves are now joining group games of tag.

Some, whose challenge was entering into play, have learned language to initiate or join a game. 

Children who usually run, today showed their growing strength and ability in climbing. 

If swinging on the big swing is a little frightening, you can reflect and know that, if you hold on tight, you won't fall off. 

As we honor the children in worship, we are also delighting in their growth and strengths.
