Once upon a time there were three billy goats, who went up to the hillside to make themselves fat, and the name of all three was "Gruff."
The story that we read and acted out this week in Drama begins this way.
Students created a bridge to walk across... trip, trap, trip, trap.
They played the roles of three billy goats and the mean troll who lived under the bridge.
They remembered what their characters said and what they did.
And they wore simple costumes (head bands with horns).
As we read and act out stories in Drama, students have an opportunity to play various characters, share roles, take turns, and learn new vocabulary.

What characters did you play in The Three Billy Goats Gruff today?
What did your characters say and how did they say it?
What costumes did you wear?
What did the billy goats say as they walked over the bridge?
