"They growed!"
After a week away from school, the children were delighted to see the seeds they planted have sprouted and grown.
We introduced a spray bottle and most of the class took a turn watering the microgreens.
Today the sprouts were ready to harvest.
The children pulled up a shoot, pinched off the end, and tasted it.
Some thought the microgreens tasted yummy!
Other children were not yet ready to try one.
Taste testing was a popular activity with a couple of children spending most of activity time at the table. We will continue harvesting the greens as the grow.
