The park has been an exciting place for the Rivers Class this spring. Children are more and more interested in playing together and, as a result, they are inspiring each other to try new things.
We see a lot of upside-down playing.
As well as climbing to new places and sliding down bravely.
Children are learning how to pump their legs to keep a swing going.
Recently, when we had the park to ourselves, the Rivers Class had a backwards day. A day to build our muscles while climbing up the slide and by finding new ways to walk down the steps.
Soccer has been a popular destination as children build kicking and other ball skills.
And in the fields, children have gathered together for discovery.
Some children have worked together to build things like a fire.
Others have noticed and built letters as they investigated.
It was an exciting moment when someone found a hole. It was probably a snake hole, they all decided. When they noticed a police officer, they decided to report the hole.
The police officer graciously investigated.
