Last week Three Little Kittens had lost their mittens. This gave the children plenty of practice putting on mittens and gloves, a skill of increasing importance as the weather gets colder. Alice helped the children use clothes pins to attach their mittens to the washing line.
This week, as we focus on counting, Alice read Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children helped set up props for the story, building a table and three chairs out of blocks. Everyone took a turn acting the role of Goldilocks or the bears.
A bear discovers his porridge has been eaten.
His chair is broken.
Finally, the bear is shocked to discover Goldilocks sleeping in his bed!
