Outdoor Activities

Last week the Rivers Class had the opportunity to work with Mr. Licato, Mustard Seed's P.E. teacher. He brought many colorful balls for the children to enjoy. Half the class at a time played in the enclosed court near our regular playground.

Some children preferred to kick the balls, while others enjoyed throwing.

We tried to throw the ball as high as we could. Mr. Licato could throw it the highest!

Mr. Licato was impressed by our athleticism and soccer skills.

At the park the small area of soil, behind the benches, opened as our designated digging spot.

On our walking trip the children collected many interesting sticks. The sticks too big to fit in the discovery table are now our digging tools.

Several children explored the ground, looking for treasure. A penny was found!
