On entering the classroom on our first day back, several students noticed a wrapped gift near the altar. After worship we met together to talk about the gift.
Who was the gift for? Who brought it?
Ms Buckley shared a photo of three visitors to our classroom, dressed in fancy clothes and hats. The three wise men (eighth grade students) had brought a gift for us.
We unwrapped the package and found three, soft birds. At the beginning of the year, our bird toys were favorites with the class. Now we have some more familiar breeds to play with, two house sparrows and a pigeon.
During activity time the children made homes for the birds,
played bird bad guys,
bird families,
and had bird conversations.
