The swings are open at the playground!
We are learning how to pump the swings ourselves.
We experiment with different ways to use the swings.
Sometimes we get a push from a friend.

We are exploring the strength of our bodies.
Rules:
- The swings are open when there is a teacher there.
- Wait on a bench to be called for your turn.
- Walk along the orange edge to your swing.
- When you are finished, run straight back to the main playground.
Learning rules for a new space helps children practice self-discipline and monitor their own actions with independence. It gives them agency and builds confidence. It also keeps them safe and makes the play more fun.
