Wednesday, April 8: Making an Easter Card for your Family
(adding Blossoms and Flowers)
Last time you started to make a special Easter card for your family.
What kind of flower or blossoms did you choose to create on your card?
You have already made the branch, stem, and leaves.
To add blossoms and flowers, you will need colored construction paper (or tissue paper), scissors, and glue:
Step 1: Here are some pictures of spring flowers and blossoming trees that I see outside my window.
Look closely at the flowers and blossoms.
What colors do you notice?
Step 2: What colors will you use to create blossoms and flowers on your card?
Step 3: Use your scissors to cut small pieces of paper to make blossoms and flowers.
Decide where you will put the blossoms and flowers on your card next to or near the branches, stems, and leaves.
Glue the pieces of paper that you cut (blossoms and flowers) onto your card.
If you use tissue paper, you can pick up the edges of the paper blossoms
and crumple them gently:
Step 4: Put your name (or the first letter of your name) on the card so that your family will know that you made it.
